Brothers Swim Club / Program Results BSA October 2009

Last weekend saw a strong Brothers contingent compete in the BSA long/course championships at Chandler aquatic centre.

While most swimmers are in the middle of a hard training block, times were very impressive and many early summer season PB’s were posted on the way to a very healthy medal haul of:

  • 25 Gold
  • 19 Silver
  • 9 Bronze

Special mention to our record breakers on the day, Jared Gilliland in the 200 Breaststroke – 2.26.75,  Zac Whenuaroa in the 100 F/S – 52.96, Emily Seebohm in the 100 F/S – 55.61 and Bobby Jovanovich in the 100 Back – 58.44. Well done to all concerned.

Club swimmers that were fortunate to finish on the podium were as follows:

Congratulations on the above mentioned swimmers for an envious medal tally. Special mention to the following swimmers who just missed out with close 4th or 5th finishes in outstanding times:

Next on the calendar are the QSA long / course meet in mid November. A sprinkling of swimmers is trying to attain last minute qualifying times for the upcoming QLD Sate championships in December. Once again congratulations on a very successful weekend.
